End of Sock Month @ Needle Rock

Ann just loves knitting with Indulgence from Knitting Fever, Inc. This pair is for Joan May, San Miguel Cty Commish & longtime friend. She was patient as they were to have been ready for Christmas - enjoy 'em Joan!

Crochet a Beanie Class

What a fun time we all had - hooking our way to a beanie hat. The pattern calls for 2 colors, but several of our students decided that mono color was just fine. Everyone was excited at how quickly the hat came together - one gal even finished a 2nd hat the same week!
Is our kitchen the coziest, or what?

Firemen to the Rescue!

YAY - Telluride Volunteer Fire Department helps the Needle Rockers to put up lights in the beautiful spruce in our front yard. Yes, that's Cathy Dickinson on the left, a favorite knitter @ Needle Rock!
We so appreciated the crew taking on the lighting of our tree.

Of course, the lights are LED.

You can see how no ladder would do this job justice.

I love the necessary helmets.

New Year Needle Rocket

Needle Rocket
A New Year!!! 2011
Hello to all our favorite knitters and crocheters!
We trust you survived another wonderful holiday season. Just think…no more last minute gifts to keep you up at night. Now we can just relax in the evenings and make something for OURSELVES!!

Speaking of which, January is SOCK MONTH at Needle Rock. We are featuring all of our traditional sock yarns as well as some you might not think of for making socks. We have many patterns and books and are even dreaming up things on our own. We will have Sock Class every Thursday from 4-6pm for $10 per session. Sign up for one or all classes as you need. We will be keeping a tally of how many socks are knit this month, so be sure to keep us up to date with your progress. Bring in a pair of socks you have finished this month and receive 15% off your next sock yarn purchase! Come in and learn to knit socks in a new and challenging way……double-pointed needles, magic loop, two circulars, toe-up, cuff-down, or even two socks at a time!

We are jammed with yarn of all sorts and colors at Needle Rock. There truly is yarn is every room except the bathroom (may have to go there next!). We have gotten some gorgeous new fibers from all over…near and far.

HOT YARNS !!
Sublime baby cashmere merino silk dk our newest baby yarn which is machine washable…yes, washable cashmere merino silk! We also have pattern book support for the baby in your life.
Road to China Light and Worsted are new yarns from The Fibre Company of 65% baby alpaca, 10% cashmere, 10% camel and 15% silk. The blend is scrumptious and wonderful to work.
Ushya Mirasol’s newest thick yarn is a cool braided merino. As you may remember, the Mirasol Project supports local communities in Peru through the sales of the Mirasol Yarn Collection. The collection includes yarn made from animals tended by these communities for generations in the Peruvian highlands. A portion of every purchase goes directly to the funding of a centre in the remote area of Munani in the region of Puno.
Karabella’s supercashmere fine will take your breath away.
Indulgence, sock yarn from KFI patterns beautifully and is sooooooo soft.

Join us for our regular Knit Nite on Tuesdays or Lunchtime Bunch on Fridays to work on your project and visit. Of course, you are welcome anyday in our cozy house to work or just sit in this salon of color and texture ( and pet Gus and/or Lola).

Rock on into the New Year!
